This is a super easy recipe that you can whip up q This is a super easy recipe that you can whip up quickly and the whole family can eat it! I basically just use the broth, milk & cheese as a base and will add in whatever veggies, protein & starch that I have. This way Elora doesn’t get bored if I make it a couple days a week. The video shows me not using measurements but it’s because I make it so often that I can just eyeball it. Recipe: 2 cups whole milk 1 1/2 cup chicken broth 1 cup shredded cheese (or more if you want it cheeeeesy) 1 tbsp flour (optional but it helps thicken the sauce) 1 tbsp cream cheese (optional to give it a more creamy texture) Add broth + milk over high heat. I add a little flour to thicken the sauce since Elora isn’t the best with a fork and liquidy means messier. Bring to boil then reduce to simmer. Mix in cheese then whatever protein & veggies you want to. I usually do steamed broccoli, carrots, potatoes or squash plus chicken or skipjack tuna. Add in pasta or rice or nothing at all. I was totally excited about this when I saw the in I was totally excited about this when I saw the influencer ad. It showed a toddler walking around with it and no snack spills! However, the buyer reviews are not very impressive but I thought I’d get one and find out for myself. Here’s what I’ve noticed. If Elora grabs the bowl and sits down immediately with it, it doesn’t spill if she moves it side to side. Moving it up and down can make the snacks pop out of the top (like popcorn popping.) When she’s standing, it definitely flies out if she moves it around with force. And let’s be honest, toddlers do everything with force 🤪 So technically it won’t “spill” out but it will “fly” out the top. Also: If it drops. Spill. If they put something heavy in it, like a remote control. Spill! 😝 It’s a cool concept but doesn’t quite work as good as I’d want it to for my 13 month old. It might work better with an older toddler. Let me know in the comments if you’ve tried this one and how it worked out for you!
